This Green Tea & Pro Vitamin B5 Toner lifts pore clogging debris and remaining traces of the cleanser to refresh, intensely hydrate, protect, restore pH balance and soothe your skin with extracts rich in anti-oxidants - *see more information below under Ingredient Profiles.
Green Tea has anti-inflammatory properties and can therefore help with oil control and breakouts. It is very soothing on irritated and reddened skin. Studies have shown that the polyphenols in green tea can help neutralise harmful free radicals, which can cause significant damage to the skin. Green Tea can help shield skin from the effects of environmental damage and may actually decrease wrinkles.
Pro Vitamin B5 aka Panthenol keeps your skin hydrated and attracts water to the outer skin layer, holding moisture whilst improving the skin’s elasticity including a more supple appearance.
Unlike other common moisturising ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid, Panthenol has the added advantage of acting as both a humectant and an emollient. Humectants attract to and bind water to the skin, while emollients seal in the cracks in the skin, keeping that water locked in.
This Toner is alcohol-free and fragrance-free, ensuring that it is suitable for all types of skin.

GREEN TEA EXTRACT
can help shield skin from the effects of environmental damage and may actually decrease wrinkles. Green Tea Leaf Extract is anti-oxidant rich and has been found to be 20 times more antioxidant-active than Vitamin C, useful against irritated skin and reduces redness and inflammation and a large review demonstrated that it may help with dermatitis and rosacea. As green tea is such a strong anti-inflammatory, it can help with acne. Studies have shown that the polyphenols in green tea can help neutralise harmful free radicals, which can cause significant damage to the skin.
*Antioxidants
As we age, important substances in our skin’s surface start to break down, making the skin feel less firm and wrinkles may start to develop. A powerful blend of antioxidants fights free radicals and can slow down the deterioration process, helping the skin to regain its firmness.
Free radicals are highly reactive, unstable molecules that can cause no end of trouble for healthy skin cells. Your body naturally produces free radicals, but it is also exposed to them via external sources, e.g. pollution, UV light and cigarette smoke.
Antioxidants help to calm and soothe the skin. If you suffer from a sensitive skin with redness, you will benefit from antioxidants such as green tea.
Scientific research has proven that antioxidants help to visibly reduce and soften the appearance of wrinkles.

PRO-VITAMIN B5 (Panthenol)
Panthenol converts into Pro-Vitamin B5 or Pantothenic Acid in contact with skin.
It attracts water to the outer skin layer and deeply hydrates the skin, holding moisture whilst improving the skin’s elasticity including a more supple appearance.
Unlike other common moisturising ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid, Panthenol has the added advantage of acting as both a humectant and an emollient. Humectants attract to and bind water to the skin, while emollients seal in the cracks in the skin, keeping that water locked in.
Clinical research has found that not only is Pro-Vitamin B5 extremely moisturising, but when regularly used over a period of four weeks or more it can help to take on an anti-inflammatory role, relieving systemic itching, whilst also helping to soothe dry skin, accelerating wound healing. *Ebner F, Heller A, Rippke F, Tausch I (2002). "Topical Use of Dexpanthenol in Skin Disorders". American Journal of Clinical Dermatology. 3 (6): 427–433.
Topically applied Pro-Vitamin B5 in amounts between 1-5% has been reported to aid in healing and barrier repair.
