INGREDIENT PROFILES

• GRAPESEED OIL
  is very moisturising, nourishing and light because of its high linoleic acid content, Omega-6 essential fatty acid; it absorbs very quickly, has natural non-allergenic properties and is known for its astringent (skin tightening and toning) properties.
• CAMELLIA SEED OIL
  has been recognised for centuries in Japan for its highly restorative effect on the skin. It is said to be responsible for the peachy skin and long nails of Japanese women. It is also known for being one of the most rapidly absorbed oils yet has an outstanding moisture retaining ability without clogging the pores. Camellia Seed Oil is high in Vitamin A, B, C and E and Oleic Acid, giving it excellent skin conditioning properties, protecting your skin from drying out while replenishing with vital nutrients and calms easily irritated skin.
• UNREFINED CUPUAÇU BUTTER
  Cupuaçu butter has excellent moisturising performance, much higher than Lanolin or Shea Butter and attracts more than double the amount of water. It penetrates the skin quickly and retains moisture. It also helps other ingredients used, to penetrate the skin much faster.
  The high phytosterol content regulates skin lipid production and benefits dry and damaged skin. Cupuaçu butter can be applied to reduce inflammation and TEWL (trans epidermal water loss) of SLS caused irritation.
  Cupuaçu butter has a very nice skin feel despite high concentrations of stearic acid. The butter contains phytosterols and tocopherols plus arachidic acid, a saturated fatty acid.
  Growing wild in the eastern sub-region of the Brazilian Amazonia, unrefined Cupuaçu butter is a butter obtained from the fruit seed of the Cupuaçu tree. It has an earthy/acidic scent which does not overpower the final blend with other ingredients and is quite pleasant. The nuts are harvested between January and June and cold pressed and filtered to yield a cream-coloured butter.

Traditionally it has been used in African medicinal and beauty treatments for centuries, as it is known to protect skin from harsh and dry elements, and aids in healing. It is lightweight and rich in oleic Omega 9 and linoleic Omega 6 fatty acids, which are essential for maintaining fresh, younger looking skin by deeply nourishing, hydrating and improving the overall health of the skin. Due to its high content of antioxidants, such as Vitamin E and Tocotrienol, Marula Oil is wonderful when it comes to protecting the skin from common problems such as free radicals, photo-ageing and general weather damage.
• SEA BUCKTHORN

The pulp of the berries is a powerhouse, containing lots of vitamins (E, C, B1, B2, K), minerals, essential fatty acids and phytosterol. Oil from the Sea Buckthorn berry is a deep red colour due to its high amount of carotenes (41 carotenoids found so far in sea buckthorn) which are beneficial antioxidants and protect against premature skin damage from sun exposure.
